Trace Adkins Tries to Become the “Celebrity Apprentice”
Ladies love country boys, but will Donald Trump? The writer’s strike is definitely lending itself to more reality television, and NBC is capitalizing on one of its tried and true ratings winners, The Apprentice. This time, however, there is a twist. It is a celebrity edition of the Donald Trump inspired show. An eclectic group of “celebrities” have been announced for the special season including country music star Trace Adkins. The stars will compete in business related challenges in New York City in order to raise money for their favorite charities. Joining Donald in the boardroom will once again be his kids, Ivanka and Donald Jr.
Joining Adkins in the cast will be: Vinny Pastore (The Sopranos), Playmate Tiffany Fallon, Olympic Gymnast Nadia Comaneci, Olympic Softball Pitcher Jennie Finch, Former Apprentice villain Omarosa, boxer Lennox Lewis, Piers Morgan (America’s Got Talent judge), Ultimate Fighting Champion Tito Ortiz, Carol Alt (model), Nely Galan (The Swan life coach), actress Marilu Henner, actor Stephen Baldwin, and the legendary Gene Simmons of KISS.
The season began filming on Monday and will air on NBC beginning January 3, 2008.
