Country Music Charts, Week Ending 12/1/07
Well, there really wasn’t much to report this week in regards to the country music singles charts or the country music album charts. There was barely any movement at all on the singles charts with Carrie Underwood sticking at number one. George Strait is gaining, however, and it’s most likely only a matter of time before he charts another number one to add to his collection with his current hit, “How ‘Bout Them Cowgirls”.
The albums charts were also pretty steady this week. The only real movement is the catapulting of Keith Urban’s Greatest Hits CD to #4 on the charts in its first week of release. It just didn’t have enough steam to overtake Garth Brooks, The Eagles, or his touring partner Carrie Underwood, though.
