Country Music Charts, Week Ending 1/19/08
It was yet another doubly great week for Taylor Swift as she topped both the singles charts with “Our Song” and the albums charts with her self titled debut that has been on the charts for more than a year. What more could an 18 year old girl ask for?
There really wasn’t much change from last week’s charts on either side, but a couple of new songs did enter the singles top ten charts. Rodney Atkins entered into the top ten with “Cleanin’ This Gun” and Kenny Chesney’s duet with George Strait “Shiftwork” also made a big jump up the charts to land at number 9.

[...] The country music singles chart was much more exciting this week, and we have a brand new number one single. Brad Paisley’s “Letter to Me” managed to jump from number 5 to number 1. Taylor Swift’s former number 1, “Our Song” fell all the way to number 5 and Sugarland’s “Stay” also took a tumble from number 2 to number 4. Rascal Flatts and Montgomery Gentry both moved up. The bottom half of the singles charts saw no movement from last week. [...]
