Country Music Charts, Week Ending 11/24/07

by Heather Scoville

carriealbum.jpgSo Dierks Bentley only got one week in the top spot before being dethroned this week. It really is no surprise that Carrie Underwood hit number one with her latest single “So Small” what with all of the awards she’s been winning recently. She’s definitely on a roll and it looks like her country music career is showing no signs of slowing.

On the album side of things, Garth Brooks managed to outsell The Eagles this week to take his “Ultimate Hits” collection to the top spot. Garth’s lovely wife Trisha Yearwood also managed to debut in the top ten with her new album “Heaven, Heartache, and the Power of Love”. Perhaps most surprising on the album charts is that both Sugarland and Taylor Swift have each been on the charts for over an entire year now (54 weeks and 56 weeks respectively) and are still hanging on to top ten spots. That’s quite an accomplishment!
