Country Music Charts, Week Ending 1/12/08
Taylor Swift is on fire! She not only held strong with her number one single “Our Song” this week on the country music singles charts, she also managed to top the country music album charts with her self-titled debut album that has been on the charts for 63 weeks now. That’s quite a feat! It is no doubt spurred by her number one country single and the fact that “Teardrops on My Guitar” is getting a lot of airplay and is charting on the pop singles and adult contemporary charts. The teenage phenom is poised for greatness.
Meanwhile, Brad Paisley is quickly climbing the singles charts with “Letter to Me” and Garth Brooks and his “Ultimate Hits” album is just behind Taylor Swift on the album charts. Next week is a new week, so you never know where the singles and albums will line up.
