Country Music Charts, Week Ending 11/17/07
Well, Dierks Bentley has been climbing the charts steadily throughout the past few weeks, and he’s finally reached the top. His single, “Free and Easy (Down the Road I Go)” managed to knock Kenny Chesney out of the top spot for country music singles this week. Now George Strait is making that climb, and with his string of #1 hits, it shouldn’t be long before he takes the top spot with his current single “How ‘Bout Them Cowgirls”.
On the albums chart, The Eagles went platinum and managed to hold off country music King Garth Brooks’ “Ultimate Hits” collection. Surprisingly, Taylor Swift’s album also made a big jump back up the charts. Hot off the heels of her Horizon Award win at the CMAs and her current catchy single “Our Song”, her self-titled debut album has been out for more than a year, but is hanging strong in the album charts.
To see the top ten country music singles and albums, keep reading after the jump.
