Country Music Charts, Week Ending 12/8/07
Monday, December 10th, 2007
There just hasn’t been any real movement in any country charts recently. There haven’t been any new albums, really, in the last couple of weeks to hit the shelves, so the album chart has been pretty steady. The Eagles did regain the top spot, knocking out Garth Brooks’ “Ultimate Hits” album. There is a seasonal entry into the top ten this week, too, as Christmas nears. Toby Keith’s “A Classic Christmas” made its debut in the top ten albums this week.
On the singles side of things, Carrie Underwood is hanging on to number one with “So Small”. There wasn’t much movement up or down the singles charts this week. However, Sugarland did break into the top ten this week with their latest single “Stay”.

Well, there really wasn’t much to report this week in regards to the country music singles charts or the country music album charts. There was barely any movement at all on the singles charts with Carrie Underwood sticking at number one. George Strait is gaining, however, and it’s most likely only a matter of time before he charts another number one to add to his collection with his current hit, “How ‘Bout Them Cowgirls”.
So Dierks Bentley only got one week in the top spot before being dethroned this week. It really is no surprise that Carrie Underwood hit number one with her
Well, Dierks Bentley has been climbing the charts steadily throughout the past few weeks, and he’s finally reached the top. His single, “Free and Easy (Down the Road I Go)” managed to knock Kenny Chesney out of the top spot for country music singles this week. Now George Strait is making that climb, and with his string of #1 hits, it shouldn’t be long before he takes the top spot with his current single “How ‘Bout Them Cowgirls”.
There wasn’t a whole lot of movement on either the country music singles charts or the country music album charts this week. However, the huge surprise was The Eagles not only took the top spot on the album charts, they absolutely annihilated the competition in all genres. Selling somewhere in the range of 750,000 copies in their first week, they more than doubled troubled pop tart
This week on the country music charts didn’t see much movement with the number one spots for both the singles charts and the albums charts staying the same. Kenny Chesney’s latest hit, “Don’t Blink” was able to hold off a hard charging Dierks Bentley with “Free and Easy (Down the Road I Go)” who jumped a few places to land at number two. Will he be able to keep Dierks at bay for another week?
The country music top ten singles chart once again got a big shake up while the albums stayed pretty steady. Toby Keith’s single “Love Me if You Can” was knocked out of the top spot after only one week by Kenny Chesney’s “Don’t Blink” which climbed back up after a brief fall. Brad Paisley’s “Online”, which was number one just two weeks ago, fell sharply down the list this week.
As expected, Rascal Flatts stayed strong at the top of the album charts this week with their latest release “Still Feels Good”. Reba McEntire’s “Duets” album held on to second place with some brand new releases right behind, including Faith Hill with a Greatest Hits CD, and Cross Canadian Ragweed’s latest record. Of course, we can’t forget our good friends Brooks & Dunn with their new CD
As predicted, Rascal Flatts dominated the album charts with their new release “Still Feels Good”. However, they weren’t able to make it a double strike as Brad Paisley hit the top of the singles charts with
This past week was all about
There weren’t any real surprises this week on the country charts. Kenny Chesney’s new album, Just Who I Am: Poets & Pirates, debuted at number 1 with an
